As some of you know, I worked as an RN for a couple of years before I went full-time wedding photographer, and that is how I met Kaleigh! We worked together on occasion at the hospital and I always thought she was so sweet. Then she asked me to photograph her wedding and I did my happy dance! And when She told me it was going to be at Sisterdale Dancehall I got EXTRA excited! I mean, look at the place. The dancehall, itself, is a beauty. Add the mature oak trees and it’s perfection. The sun is in perfect position all year round, and the grass is always green (if mother nature doesn’t take care of it, Rhonda does!).
Kaleigh and Sean are perfect for each other(look at how they look at each other! <3), and I loved photographing their special day. Even though the threat of rain loomed over us all day, we didn’t break a sweat. The rain waited until the reception started and everyone was nice and cozy inside. In between downpours we snuck outside and quickly, fearlessly, captured one of my favorite night shots of all time (see the last photo). I’m so grateful for these two and their willingness to go along with my crazy ideas!
Enjoy the love,
Allison
These blue Mason jars were hand-etched and served as each guest’s drinking glass for the night.
Kaleigh’s dress designed by Stella York was AMAZING! And this room at the bed and breakfast next to the dancehall fit it perfectly.
The moody light from all of the clouds rolling in outside was perfect. And perfect is my favorite word. I say it all day long ;)
These flower girls and their beautiful hair! I’m also pretty excited I caught those flowers mid-toss.
And this is why I recommend a second shooter for every wedding! Kaleigh left him speechless :)
ALWAYS my favorite moment!!!
I really love this photo in black and white and color. So here they both are <3
Sean is an avid hunter and guide, and I LOVE how they incorporated that into his groom’s cake! So unique and creative.
Again, the DRESS! <3 <3 <3
After Kaleigh and Sean cut the cake Kaleigh’s dad sang her a song he used to sing to her when she was a little girl. Then all of their guests sang along. It was sweet and my eyes may have welled up a little bit.
The infamous shoe game has become quite popular, and I love it!
Since it was FLOODING outside we had their bubble exit in the dancehall. I must say I’ve never seen an exit THIS beautiful!
Alas, our famous 5-second photo where I dropped every piece of equipment I own and couldn’t see a thing. It’s kind of a miracle that this turned out how I envisioned it <3To see more weddings from Sisterdale Dancehall, click here!
