My goal is to make your day EASY and ENJOYABLE. I love candid moments, you know, when mom is crying in the front row, or when your groom sees you for the first time-but I also love to create beautiful images of couples with light posing involved to make you look your best (don’t worry, these won’t look like your yearbook pictures)!
We have received over 100 glowing reviews
on The Knot and have won The Knot “Best of
Weddings” AND Wedding Wire’s “Couples’ Choice
Awards” for NINE YEARS in a row! Read them on my page at Theknot.com or go to instagram at @allisonjeffersphotography and read some of my favorite reviews in my “reviews” story highlight to put a face with a name.
My first wedding I shot solo was in 2012.
Since then I have photographed over 200 wedding
days and have SEEN IT ALL. Every lighting situation,
every time constraint, weather conundrums, family
dynamics; the list goes on. I have truly learned
how to turn lemons into lemonade for every
unexpected twist and turn that inevitably happens
on wedding days. That also means I’m a professional
dress-bustler and boutonniere pinner--I’m basically your BTS bridesmaid with a camera.
I’ve spent the last 8+ years perfecting my
editing style and consistency in how my images
look. I’m very meticulous and believe your dress
detail should be visible i.e. no “glowing”
wedding dresses and colors stay true to life. My
style is very bright, but shadows keep their
integrity (black suits stay black, not grey!).
I am also skilled in Photoshop and can fix many
things--pit stains, stray hairs, zits, tanlines--
you name it! This photo is an example. The
bridesmaid on the far left had a purple/mauve dress, but you can’t tell! (Tap to see "before")
For the couple with kids--We understand
how important it is to include photos of your
children on your wedding day! They are just as
much a part of it as you are! We’ll be there to
capture all of those sweet moments and include
them in any way we can.
As a fellow fur mother I fully encourage
you to include your pets in your engagement
session, bridal session, and/or wedding if
possible! Bring one, bring all! And if you’re
concerned about how well behaved they will be,
don’t worry! I’m a dog whisperer. Just browse my
blog and see all of the engagement sessions that
include fur children. Even if they are wild and
crazy I promise we will get great family shots! (tap the photo to see more!)
Weddings are unpredictable and usually don’t go
100% as planned. I have enough umbrellas for a full
wedding party, a sewing kit, backup gear, and lots of
snacks on hand, so rain, ripped pants (it has happened
before!), equipment malfunctions, and hanger is no
match for us! (tap the photo for more beautiful rain photos)
Typically a photographer is either good at
capturing candid photos OR posed portraits. My style is a
blend of both! So you get the best of both worlds--
candid photos that will stir your emotions, and intentional
photos with beautiful lighting and natural posing that
will still look good in 50 years. Truth be told, though...
those in-between moments are my favorite and I have a
sixth sense for when cute things are going to happen.
Do you feel awkward in photos and need help with
WHERE TO PUT YOUR HANDS?! Or is there something
you are self conscious about? I hear this from 99% of
my brides before they book me, and when I show them
photos of themselves they can hardly believe it! Posing
in a natural + flattering way is a strength of mine, so
don’t worry! I’ll tell you where to put everything and
make you look your very best while I’m at it ;)

Q: Where are you located?
Q: We would love to work with you! how does the booking process work?
Yay! Our booking process is completely online! To book your wedding with us we require a 40% retainer to hold your date as well as a signed contract. The rest is due 90 days before the wedding!
Q: where can i see more of your work?
If you don't already stalk us on Instagram, start there! That's where we share our most recent work from weddings, engagement sessions, and bridal sessions first! Our blog is also updated regularly with highlights from full weddings and sessions. If you would like to see a full wedding gallery (which we highly recommend!) just ask!
Q: How would you describe your style?
Our shooting style is joyful, timeless, and romantic--with an emphasis on JOY. We believe your wedding photos should reflect how amazing your day was, including happy tears, laughs, and all of the surprises in between.
Our editing style is very unique! We love bright, light and airy images, but believe that the details should be preserved in wedding dresses and black tuxes should not be grey. We have a very trained eye for this kind of detail and are very consistent with our images.
Q: How many images will we receive from the wedding?
We don't believe in limiting the number of images you will receive, but we do average 75+ per hour that we are photographing your wedding.
Q: How far in advance should we book you?
As soon as possible, especially if you are getting married on a Saturday during "Wedding Season" (March-June and September-December). Most of our couples book us 9-18 months before the wedding. Fill out our contact form to see if we have your date available!
Q: How will I receive my wedding images?
Every package we offer comes with digital high res images via an online gallery! There is also an option to upgrade to a USB + 300 4x6 prints with a keepsake box that is popular among our couples.
Q: Will we have printing rights for our photos?
Yes! You may print your photos at your favorite photo lab or order professional prints through the online gallery.
Q: will the photos we receive from you be edited already?
Absolutely. We only deliver high quality edited images. We do not deliver "proofs" or RAW files. What you see on our website, blog, and social media is what you get!
Q: How long is the turnaround time for our wedding photos?
We guarantee you will have your gallery within 8 weeks, but typically we deliver much sooner!
Q: Can we add on to our wedding package later?
Yes! You typically don't know exactly how many hours of wedding day coverage you need upon booking, so adding hours or sessions later is definitely an option.
Q: Can we share our images on social media?
ABSOLUTELY! We know how excited you are about this amazing time in your life, and we encourage sharing! We just ask that you tag us in your photos!
Q: How many images will we receive from the engagement session?
We don't believe in limiting the number of images you will receive, so there's not a set answer. BUT we guarantee you will receive 75+ images from your engagement session! Most of our couples receive much more than 75.
Q: How long is the engagement session?
Our sessions are approximately 1.5 hours long. Depending on location and outfit changes, it might take 2 hours. This might sound like a lot of time, but time flies when you're having fun ;) I promise!
Q: How long is the turnaround time for Engagement photos?
3 weeks or less!
Q: What do we wear?
When you book us for your wedding, we will send you an entire bridal guide magazine with tons of information about what to wear and tips for making your session (and wedding) run smoothly.
But until then, check out this post and this post for outfit inspiration and style tips!
Q: How far in advance should we book the engagement session?
It really depends on your schedule flexibility and the season you want your photos taken in! Spring and Fall are the busiest; therefore, harder to schedule. We recommend reaching out as soon as you know what season/month works for you!
