I have photographed hundreds of couples and “what do we wear for our engagement session?” is my NUMBER ONE question, so I want to share a few sources for getting amazing engagement session dresses! These would also be fabulous for wearing as a wedding guest, and most of them are under $100.

A Few Tips:
I recommend one flowy engagement dress and one that’s more fitted (or you can do a more casual look–sometimes we have time for three outfits, so keep that in mind :)
Coordinate your outfits, but don’t match perfectly like my parents did in the 70’s ;)
Wear something that makes you feel amazing!
If you are self conscious about a part of your body, keep that in mind when choosing a dress. If you hate your arms, don’t wear a sleeveless dress. If you hate your tummy, don’t get a tight fitted dress (dresses that are flowy with a cinched waist are your best bet). If you have a tattoo you hate, cover it up or get a dress that covers it. Makeup artists are magical with covering up tattoos, too.
Can you wear an elegant dress in the wild? YES! I Highly recommend it.
Go with a color that’s easy on the eyes. Hot pink, lime green, bright orange, etc. don’t photograph AS well as soft pinks, blues, burgundy, etc.
