When Julia emailed and asked me to photograph her wedding I was SO excited! I photographed her sister’s wedding a few years ago and fell in LOVE with her family, so I couldn’t wait to work with them again! I loved getting to know them even more at their engagement session (you can see that by clicking here!) and Julia’s bridal session in the gorgeous peach blossoms and bluebonnets (you can see that by clicking here!). Josh and Julia have such a sweet love, and we could all see that they were truly meant for each other.
Their ceremony at Antler Oaks Lodge was outside in the perfect 80-degree weather and their personal touches were seen throughout the entire wedding day. From the custom signage to the piece of lace wrapped around Julia’s bouquet from Josh’s mom’s wedding dress that was holding her grandmother’s ring–they thought of everything.
After the ceremony the couple enjoyed their dinner together, ALONE. The more I think about this, the more I think it is a great idea! Couples never really get to talk to each other on their wedding day. It sounds crazy, but unless they do a First Look, they never get a moment alone together until AFTER they leave! I can see this becoming a trend for sure!
Julia and Josh, I am so beyond happy that I was able to witness the beginning of your life together as husband and wife. Cheers to many more decades of love and happiness!

After dinner we snuck out for some beautiful golden hour portraits! 
I love it when my brides choose to do a mother-daughter dance! Such sweet moments to remember. 
Josh has one of the spunkiest grandmas I know!
