When Van emailed me about doing their engagement photos at The Dallas Arboretum I could hardly control my excitement! It’s one of my favorite places to visit when I’m in DFW, and it feeds all of my #plantladygoals. We met up on a Saturday morning and had the best time wandering around and finding new beautiful areas in the gardens.
The thing I love most about Van and Francis is that they’re so warm and welcoming–and funny! We laughed so much, and they trusted me entirely when it came to locations and what would look best. We actually had the best of both worlds when it came to lighting. If it was too sunny we would just wait a few seconds and it would be cloudy again. And in the meantime I got to know them and their wedding plans (to die for, just in case you were wondering!). I will never get over how sweet my couples are and how lucky I am!
This part of the gardens reminds me of a German castle! And this wall with climbing vines…*insert all the heart eyes*The foxglove grove wasn’t blooming just yet, but there were enough blooms to snag a pretty ring shot :) Let’s play a game. Guess how many people are actually in this photo. (there are at least 7 LOL) If you follow my Instagram stories, this location might look familiar to you. I did have to Photoshop out a flying statue. LOL. I’ve been coming to the Arboretum for over 4 years now, and it just gets prettier every time! I also find something new with each visit. We took these photos next to the Magnolia tree for Van’s mom. She LOVES them (and so do I. hehe) one of Van’s favorite spots at The Arboretum is this tunnel of trees! Usually there are a million people walking through, but this time we got really lucky and only had to dodge a few ;) Rosemary’s Rose garden is one of their beautiful wedding venue locations for intimate ceremonies. It’s also beautiful for portrait session (obviously ;)
