Where do I even begin with these two?? Justin called me almost two months ahead of time to make sure our schedules could line up. He said he was going to propose to his girlfriend, Aanchal, in Fredericksburg (Texas Wine Country). We formulated a plan, and over the next two months we had a few short conversations. I am always so paranoid that she will find out what’s going on or ask “who were you talking to?!” haha! So our phone conversations were short and to-the-point, usually on Justin’s way home from work. When the day FINALLY came, I arrived at 1851 Vineyard early to set up and hide in their office where I could spy on them.
They were SO CUTE and they were even able to bring Mitsy, their fur baby, with them. Justin said 1851 Vineyard was SO accommodating and willing to work with him on his plan to propose to Aanchal, and the fact that they were able to bring Mitsy, too, was just the icing on the cake.
When the wine tasting was complete and the vineyard tour was over, Justin led Aanchal out to the wine barrel where we had two bar stools set up, a bottle of wine, and her engagement ring under some LED candles, and some rose petals spread around. I texted him where the ring was and made sure she was sitting where her “good side” (we all have one haha) was facing the camera. Meanwhile, I hid behind someone’s truck in the parking area and waited until I saw him grab the ring.
She couldn’t have been more surprised!! She squealed, said “YES,” and couldn’t get over it! We had a mini engagement session, and she kept connecting the dots and exclaiming “JUSTIN! I can’t believe this!” haha! She didn’t know he had even more surprises lined up for the rest of the day!
Aanchal and Justin, thankyou so much for letting me be a part of this special day! I had THE BEST time with you guys and I still can’t get over it! Enjoy these sweet memories :)
We also got really lucky with the wildflowers blooming! It rained almost every day in September (it was supposed to rain during the proposal, but it didn’t!)so everything is nice and ALIVE.
