Courtney and Brett had a beautiful destination Hill Country wedding! They live in Midland where wedding venues are sparse and trees are nonexistent, so they chose The Lodge at Country Inn Cottages in Fredericksburg to tie the knot!

Their wedding theme was very breezy and perfect for August. The Bridesmaids wore long sage dresses and the guys wore grey blazers. Their planner and florist, Taylor Bible, designed and made all of their beautiful bouquets, arrangements, and ceremony installation. It was beautiful!

I’ve photographed a few weddings at The Lodge, but this one had an extra surprise. They have exotic animals, including a herd of elk (I kept calling them moose because they’re HUGE 😂). They all came over to the ceremony site right before it began and stayed there for hours. It was fabulous, and we had the opportunity to get some unique wedding photos that incorporated the elk.

Overall, Courtney and Brett’s wedding was fabulous and I had fun getting to know them throughout this process. I’m so honored to have the opportunity to capture these special memories that will last forever.

They had a no-look first look and exchanged letters and prayed together.

Courtney and Brett incorporated their children in to the wedding and it was adorable! Their daughter was the flower girl and their son strolled in on a wedding wagon.

Their daughter was so dang adorable! She came out to dance during the father/daughter and mother/son dances.

Night portraits are my specialty, and I’m so glad they let me steal them away for 5 minutes for this photo!
