Kimberly and Matt’s engagement session was a little extra special. Not only did they look AMAZING, but we went back to the place where Matt proposed in June to do their engagement photos! The Pearl! It’s one of my favorite places to photograph engagement sessions in the San Antonio area, and I love that they have a history with it. We wondered around the entire Pearl district, and there was beautiful light at every turn. Kimberly and Matt had me laughing the whole time, and my cheeks hurt by the time we left. These two are so much fun, and I can’t wait for their wedding in the winter!! Speaking of winter, we were wishing it WAS winter! our heat index was 110, and you can’t even tell by looking at their photos. They were definitely troopers throughout the whole session, and Kimberly’s dress from Rent the Runway was a show-stopper. I LOVE that they wanted a dressy classic look for their engagement session, and they nailed it! We stopped for a toast at Supper at Hotel Emma. Hotel Emma will always have my heart. Matt in his natural state. He wanted to jump across this river SO bad. We blamed it on his James Bond attire. HAHA! This is the spot where Matt got down on one knee and asked Kimberly to marry him! Hotel Emma is such a perfect blend of industrial elegance. They are the cutest! This ring shot still has me cracking up!
