Laurie and Simone(pronounced See-Moh-Nay) have a very unique story. He’s from Italy, and she’s from San Antonio! They met while they were attending University of Texas and fell in love.
As for their proposal story– “We were in Rome visiting Simone’s family, and he took me out for a date one evening. After having a nice dinner in downtown Rome, we went for a walk on one of Rome’s seven hills, and he proposed in a secret garden behind a beautiful fountain that overlooks the Roman skyline…” I seriously can’t think of anything more romantic than that!
I met Laurie at Kristen and Britt’s wedding in June of 2015, and when Kristen said they needed me for Laurie’s wedding I was so excited! I loved getting to know Kristen and Britt, and I knew her best friend, Laurie, was SO sweet! They hosted their Texas wedding at her childhood home beneath beautiful oak trees where they exchanged their vows and danced the night away. It was such an honor to be a part of their special day! They are both so sweet and caring, and their love is pure. Watching Simone and Laurie gaze into each others’ eyes throughout the day was so inspiring and refreshing.
Simone and Laurie, I wish you the best! I hope you have an AMAZING time at your second celebration in Italy! Everyone was so sweet at the wedding, but these groomsmen were top notch! Adrian, Mark, and Britt helped me with bridal details (imagine them holding things like the bridal bouquet, wedding shoes, and all of the accessories). I was blown away by their kindness! This bridal party was SO FUN!
Be prepared to do some swooning. These two were naturals!
This has to be one of my all-time favorite night photos!
xoxo, Allison
