Sisterdale Dancehall, as you all may have realized by now, is one of my FAVORITE venues in the Hill Country. I just can’t get enough of its charm and gigantic oak trees! So when Jill emailed me about her wedding there I did a little happy dance! She and Michael live in the Houston area but wanted a wedding with some country charm. So they had a Texas Hill Country destination wedding! Their guests drove (and flew) in from miles and miles away to celebrate this love story that has been ten years in the making. We have been planning this wedding for almost a year now, and I can’t believe it finally happened! On one hand I’m so sad it’s over, but on the other, I’m so happy for Jill and Michael and grateful I had the opportunity to be a part of this huge milestone in their lives. #AJcouples are the BEST couples! <3 Now we can start planning their first anniversary session ;)
I was oohing and ahhing over this beautiful trumpet gown from David’s Bridal all. day. long. Michael is in law enforcement, so this wedding band with a thin blue line is PERFECT Jill chose deep shades of purple as their main colors with accents of blush and ivory. She also MADE all of the bouquets from faux florals and beautiful brooches. Believe it or not, all of the florals at this wedding were faux! That means she can keep her bouquet looking exactly as it did on her wedding day and not have to pay a fortune to have it specially preserved. Cute ring boxes are a thing these days. I’m a crafty girl, so I decided to try my hand at making one! So I whipped this little purple box up for Jill’s ring photos :) I’ll have a tutorial blog post on that coming soon. I absolutely love the character at Sisterdale Dancehall. #allthefloral There were so many beautiful butterflies fluttering around the flowers at Sisterdale Dancehall. This one stood still long enough for me to grap a quick shot of him. Thank-you, Mr. Butterfly (or is it Mrs. Butterfly?) Jill, you’re the cutest! Guys. I am a sucker for adorable kids! Isn’t she the CUTEST?! This photo on the left is what I lovingly call a “grandma photo.” It’s, simply, a portrait of the bride and groom looking and smiling at the camera in a formal fashion. Every couple deserves at least one of these! If there was an award for cutest ring bearer ever, he would win! Another thing I LOVE about Sisterdale Dancehall is the lighting inside. All of the twinkle lights look SO good during receptions. Jill and her dad decided to do something a little different. They disappeared in the middle of their father-daughter dance and came out to the song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses. It was EPIC. This is the moment Jill figured out that Michael BOUGHT HER A NEW CAR!
