A Champagne Black Tie Wedding at The Preserve At Canyon Lake in Canyon Lake, Texas

I’m wrapping up editing on Kristen and TJ’s wedding and I decided to do something I haven’t done in a very long time–blog! I used to blog every wedding, but then 2020 hit and I lost my way (I’m being dramatic haha) and I’m partially convinced that blogging died about 8 years ago, but this wedding is so pretty I don’t care 😆 And Kristen and TJ are SO sweet–my favorite kind of people. Their wedding at The Preserve was beautiful, and the energy and *vibes* that their guests brought was unmatched. Their day was full of love and positive energy, and it was so fun to be a part of!

Fun fact: I waited until the reception to photograph Kristen’s bridal details! I’ve been doing this more lately because 1. It gives me time to think without being rushed, and 2. I get wayyy more florals to work with! I typically  am able to *borrow* them from the back of centerpieces and arrangements.

My favorite thing about The Preserve at Canyon Lake is that everything is air conditioned but also STUNNING! There’s no compromising comfort for aesthetics here. We could take every single photo inside and they would all be beautiful.

The old me would have thrown this photo out haha! It will be interesting to see how long the crooked blurry trend lasts. It’s a fun one, but I spent so many years making sure my photos were perfectly straight.

A classic getaway car and cold sparks are ALWAYS a good idea.

I stole them away for a few minutes during the reception so we could take some night portraits!
