David’s Proposal to Kelsey | Augusta Vin Vineyards

A Surprise Proposal at Augusta Vin Vineyards in Fredericksburg, Texas | Texas wedding Photographer

David planned a surprise proposal for his girlfriend, Kelsey, at Augusta Vin a couple of weeks ago and I was there to capture it ALL!

And I’m just going to warn you–you might cry like I did 😂😭

We worked with Summer at Augusta Vin to set up this surprise proposal. She had the little pavilion ready for us with rose petals and roses as well as David’s backup plan (more on that below–keep scrolling). I was set up outside acting like I was waiting on my wine to be served as David and Kelsey walked by.

I also forgot to mention that it was ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR DEGREES so they had the lawn to themselves!

Their server walked them to the table and Kelsey started to realize what was happening. Tears and excitement were flowing and the people on the balcony were cheering. She said YES(!!!) and we had a mini engagement session in the vineyard after she had a few minutes for it to sink in.

I had an amazing time getting to know them and hearing their love story. I felt like I was talking with friends I had known for years! An hour flew by! When it’s 100+ degrees outside that’s saying a lot LOL.

I’m so excited for David and Kelsey and I hope our paths cross again soon! I’m so honored he chose me to capture these beautiful memories that they’ll show generations to come. Scroll down to see my favorites from their session!

When Kelsey realized he hired a photographer 😆

David wasn’t sure he was going to be able to talk, so he had this envelope as his backup plan!

These two were such troopers being in full sun in that heat! But we got some great photos!

While I was taking some photos of Kelsey’s ring in the vines David was telling her how he asked her dad for his permission. It was so thoughtful and sweet and I found myself tearing up as well.
