A Surprise Summer Proposal at 1851 Vineyards in Fredericksburg, Texas | Fredericksburg Wedding Photographer
When Cody contacted me about photographing his proposal to Pandora I couldn’t have been more excited! Proposals are my absolute FAVORITE and I love helping plan the surprise. He told me he had a weekend trip to Fredericksburg planned for he and Pandora, and after tossing around a few ideas he decided that 1851 Vineyards was the perfect location.
When Saturday rolled around I’m pretty sure it was the windiest day of the YEAR, but it was a nice break from our triple digit heat we have in the summer.
If you watched my Instagram stories you probably remember me spying on them while they had their wine tasting. I was such a creeper, but I didn’t want to let them out of my site, because after their tasting was over they were supposed to go on a tour of the winery, and THAT was my cue to go out and scatter rose petals where he was supposed to propose!
So, when the coast was clear, I scattered my petals like a madd woman and hurried to my car to get my camera gear. Then I waited for what seemed like an eternity (it was, like, 5 minutes. 😂) and they walked out of the winery to our setup under the trees. The employee ensured Pandora that “they do this for everyone” (haha!). At this time, Pandora had no idea anyone else was around (I was still hiding behind parked cars and creeping).
They sat and had a few sips of wine and then Cody took her hand and got down on one knee.
IT WAS SO SWEET!
And her ring is SO GORGEOUS!
After she realized they had a paparazzi, we did a mini engagement session in the vines, at the old settlement, and with the gigantic oak trees.
It was the best, They are so photogenic, and I can’t believe I am lucky enough to call this my JOB!
