A Summer Engagement Photo Session at Sekrit Theater in Austin, Texas | Austin Wedding Photographer

I’ve been dying to photograph Sekrit Theater for YEARS, but I haven’t had a couple who saw the same vision that I had for it. When Melani got excited about it and chose it as their location for their engagement session I was SO PUMPED!

We did this session in the middle of July, and if you have ever been to Texas you know that it’s basically a crock pot in the afternoons, so we had a morning session. It was still hot, but not in the triple digits yet 😅 and they were such troopers through it all. They stayed flawless for the whole session thanks to Melani’s sisters and mom who came prepared with bug spray, sweat rags, and water–Texas essentials 😂

My absolute FAVORITE part of this session was this GORGEOUS greenhouse! I’m a ride or die plant lady, and if I could transport this thing to my backyard, I would in a heartbeat! But for now, I’ll just visit 😁

This was my first time meeting Melani and Orlando, and I absolutely love them! And their family! I am so blessed when it comes to my couples who choose me to photograph all of their wedding memories. It’s pretty magical that I get AMAZING clients like these two who just “get it,” and I can’t WAIT for her bridal session and their wedding this fall!! In the meantime, enjoy my favorites from their engagement session…There are a TON 😍

Fun fact: Sekrit Theater is in the middle of an Austin suburb! It’s so unexpected when you’re driving through a neighborhood and, BAM, here is this backyard of photo ops.  I think this is my favorite photo from the whole session!!!  Can you imagine having an intimate wedding ceremony in here? 😍
