An Intimate Elopement at The South Congress Hotel in Downtown Austin | Austin, TX Wedding Photographer
When Sarah reached out to me to photograph their intimate wedding at South Congress Hotel in Downtown Austin I was SO EXCITED! She was so sweet, and I have seen weddings at the hotel before *insert heart eyes here*. What I wasn’t prepared for is how BEAUTIFUL and detail-oriented their elopement would be. She hired one of my absolute favorite florists, The Bloom Bar, to create a stunning asymmetrical floral installation for their ceremony, and her bouquet was everything of the sort!
They also had a mini cake, a table set for dinner, and a string duo!
They had two guests–their children–and it was so sweet watching them get a little emotional over seeing their parents get married.
I’m so honored they chose me to photograph this special day and capture these moments forever! I said it once, and I’ll say it again–I have the BEST job, ever!

We also got extremely lucky with the weather! Their ceremony was mid-afternoon which is usually insanely bright, but it was so cloudy that day which created a beautiful even layer of light.
Sarah’s whole bridal look was so perfect and fabulous! Her dress was absolutely stunning and I love how it showed off her red bottom heels!
We went downstairs for a few photos on the street, and then Andy and the kids went to pick up some lunch while Sarah and I did a few more! I’m LOVING this black tile background. I love taking something that people typically see as “dark and moody” and making it “light and airy!”
