When we were planning this engagement session Stephani told me she was a geologist and that they were an outdoorsy couple. Enchanted Rock in Fredericksburg, Texas came right to mind! After-all, it is a giant granite playground. So we had our engagement session the day after New Years in the dead of “winter”(I LOVE Texas!) and hiked it around the rock until we found the most beautiful trees and baby boulders.
Stephani and Zach have been together for years and have zero pictures to show for it. They told me they were awkward photo people. haha. Little did they know, most couples are “awkward” at first during their engagement session. It’s a fact. There are very few couples who have professional photo sessions together before they’re engaged, but when you come to me, we get unawkward in about 5 minutes :) I would also like to add that these two were naturals! I told them I don’t want to hear anymore of this talk from them ;)
Zach in his natural state.
Zach and Stephani in their natural state. LOL
I stopped dead in my tracks (there has to be a less gruesome way to say that) when I saw this tree getting eaten alive by ball moss, and I thought “how beautiful!” The sun coming in behind it was PERFECT.
Somehow they ended up on this baby cliff together, so I told them to channel their inner Titanic. Nailed it!
These ring shots, though.
I love how you can see the little organisms growing here
As we were hiking back I couldn’t help but notice how lovely the sunlight looked coming through the moss trees. Wow!
I can’t wait for your wedding, guys!
xoxo, Allison
