A Multicultural Fall Wedding at The Chandelier of Gruene | New Braunfels, TX Wedding Photographer

Katie and AJ made it official and threw one of the most fabulous microweddings I’ve ever seen! They had llamas, beer burrows, a live wedding painter, and gourmet mac and cheese! I have photographed a lot of weddings at The Chandelier of Gruene, but this one was extra special, and it didn’t hurt that we had the most beautiful sunshine to celebrate with!

On top of being a nurse and saving lives, Katie is artistically gifted and designed (artwork and all!) their invitation suite. yeah, I’m impressed, too ;)

Katie and AJ incorporated their Vietnamese and Filipino cultures into their American wedding seamlessly. She had two dresses–a traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai wedding dress and her American wedding dress.

This setup was one. of my favorite details from the whole day. Katie made this, too!

Typically if I want to get a “swooshing dress shot” I have to have someone toss it and run, but it was SO windy that the dress swooshed and tossed itself around on its own!

In Vietnamese culture the color red is a symbol of luck. It also looks amazing on her!

I want to take a moment to brag on Katie. She lost SEVENTY POUNDS before her wedding, and watching her transformation has been so inspiring(see for yourself on Instagram). She influenced me to give Noom a try, and I’ve been delightfully surprised with my own weight loss journey.

Katie’s favorite animals are elephants(remember their dreamy engagement session with elephants?!), and I love that they’re incorporated in their crest.

This is one of my most favorite photos I’ve ever taken at The Chandelier! The chapel, the lanterns, her veil fluttering in the wind, and that SUNSHINE 😍.

Another favorite:

AJ and his men wore traditional Barongs.

Llamas are always a good idea, and they’re the life of the party. Look at those FACES! 😍

I’ve never wanted a llama more than I do after this wedding! 😂

These cutie little lanterns were my favorite detail in the centerpieces.

They shared a last/first dance while their guests were lining up with sparklers.

And if you know me, you know this is my favorite time of night–night portraits! It was so fun with the lanterns!
