We Are Hiring An Associate Wedding Photographer!

Open up the champagne, pop! Welcome to my house… (if that song is stuck in your head now, you’re welcome)

We are so excited to announce that we will be adding one more member to our team in 2021! We are looking for the perfect fit–someone who is a hard worker, polite, dependable, and if you got jokes that’s a plus.

If you are a bride or groom reading this, don’t worry, we spend so much time training and prepping our associates to have the same “joyful, timeless, and romantic” style that you know and love. We are just turning away TOO MANY amazing couples and would love a way to serve them with the Allison Jeffers wedding experience.

We’re looking for:

–Someone who is professional, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously, and knows how to handle conflict and the stress that wedding days bring in a calm and collected manner.

–Someone who is dependable. Weddings are a once-in-a-lifetime event that you can not miss.

–Someone who is a hard worker. Learning #allthethings wedding-related is harder than most people think. It takes a lot of time and effort and drive to become a professional wedding photographer. It’s not something that can form on its own.

–Someone who loves love and marriage! You don’t have to be married to apply, but you have to appreciate it.

–Someone who doesn’t want to deal with the paperwork, stress, and taxes that come with running your own business. You’ll be shooting only! No editing or office work (I’m actually jealous LOL)

–Someone available on weekends (When weddings happen!) and occasionally during the week for engagement or bridal sessions.

–Someone with wedding experience would be preferred–even if it’s just second shooting!

Important Info:

–We are not in a rush to hire someone. If we don’t find the perfect candidate, we will wait until the right one comes along.

–If you love taking photos but hate the idea of running a business (contracts, taxes, websites, SEO, etc) this might be the perfect fit for you!

–This position will be compatible with another part time or full time job. This is considered a “contracting” job and not a full-time position.

— This is a weddings/couples-only job position. If you have a family/commercial/etc business you will still be able to do that as well.

–We will be training you to have the “Allison Jeffers” look, but helping you find your strengths as a creative.

The Application Process:

Once we receive all of the applications, I will select photographers whom I think would be a good fit for the team. I’ll do short phone interviews to get to know you a little bit better and schedule a Zoom or Facetime interview!  I’ll choose a select few to come second shoot (or assist) with me at real weddings! From there I will do a lot of soul searching and praying and will make my final decision. This isn’t the fastest process, but I want to find someone who is truly a perfect fit for our team and will serve our clients well.

FAQ

Will I be able to second shoot for other photographers? YES! You just can’t give them all of our secrets ;)

Will I still be able to shoot my own weddings under my own photography name? Unfortunately not. Part of working with us means that we DO give you all of our secrets to success and spend a lot of time training to be the best photographer you can be! We can only do that if you are committed to our team!

How much do associates get paid? Once you are adequately trained and able to take your own weddings(you might already be at this level!), you’ll receive 30% of the package price that our couple books. In the meantime you’ll be paid for second shooting based on your skill level.

How do associate weddings work? Glad you asked! I’ll be the main point of contact for our couples for paperwork and timelines. You’ll be their go-to for scheduling their engagement/bridal sessions and getting to know each other. After you photograph their sessions or weddings you’ll have the option to cull the images (for extra $$$ in your pocket) and then send them to me via dropbox (If you don’t have a paid account, that’s not an issue)! I edit them to match our joyful and timeless style and deliver them to our clients.
