Abi (pronounced uh-bee) and Tony are married, and this was one for the books! They wanted to tie in Tony’s Thai culture as well as Abi’s Indian culture into an American “mishmash” wedding as Abi called it, and it turned out beautifully! Red is a traditional wedding color in India, and it was the main color for their wedding and Abi’s Lehenga. Their ceremony site at The Vista on Seward Hill was decked out with red floral arrangements, and they had bangles for their guests to wear and take home.
The day was so sweet, and the weather turned out perfectly–not too hot, and it didn’t rain! Abi and Tony celebrated their traditional Indian wedding with family for two days before this “mishmash” wedding, so their guests were mostly friends that they have known for years. Abi and Tony served Indian food (it was my first time to try it and I LOVED it!) and they all danced together in the reception space to songs from The Backstreet Boys and other legends ;)
Abi and Tony wanted this wedding to be THEM, and I think that’s exactly what they got! I am so honored they trusted me with these special memories, and I’m truly grateful for this opportunity!
PS I still can’t get over that gold DRESS!!!
fun fact: Abi’s dress weight, like, 20 pounds! It was handmade in India and full of sparkly jewels!
This was one of my favorite moments from the whole day! Even though Abi and Tony already spent two solid days doing Indian ceremonies, he lit up when he saw her.
