You may have heard of Contigo as the delicious restaurant in Austin who also caters weddings and events. They’ve branched out and created the beautiful Contigo Ranch. It’s a BRAND NEW VENUE located in Fredericksburg, Texas, south of Austin. It’s on Lower Crabapple Road heading North, toward Enchanted Rock. It was previously known as “Tinstar Ranch,” but it has been recently transformed into a rustic contemporary wedding venue. It is a DREAM to photograph, and I had to pleasure of attending their ribbon cutting ceremony for the local Chamber of Commerce last month. I, of course, brought my camera!

The first thing you notice when you hit the parking lot is the abundance of oak trees. There’s also a grove to the left that would be perfect for intimate ceremonies. One really cool aspect of the Ranch Hall is the doors! They roll up, garage-style, to create a seamless flow from cocktail hour to reception. Here you can see the door on the left is closed, while the door on the right is open. One thing I LOVE about Contigo is their Ranch Hall. It’s a clean slate, and it has SHIPLAP! It speaks right to my Fixer-Upper-loving heart. Oh, and those awesome tabouret chairs? They come with the venue. This is Britta. She doesn’t come with the venue, but she’s adorable! Her daddy is a videographer whom I love working with! Check out his site here. Contigo Ranch also has beautiful landscaping that was repurposed from the rock found while they were digging! Not only does Contigo Ranch have a beautiful reception hall, they also offer lodging for the wedding party and close friends and family. This is the bridal party suite. It has a foyer when you walk in. To the right is the “getting ready” area, and to the left is the honeymoon suite! There is also a lovely porch with a table and chairs. They also have a GORGEOUS ceremony location atop the highest hill on the land. Just look at this view!
I can’t wait to photograph weddings here in the future! Just imagine how dreamy a spring or fall wedding would look here with cocktail hour on the patio with pretty stringed lights and the garage style doors rolled up, letting in the breeze.
