2018 was the year I really stepped out of my “box” and got 100% more creative with my night portraits! I pushed the limits and tried things I would have never tried in 2017. Like when I asked my couple to get in the canoe. in the dark. and hold some lighting equipment. and row to the perfect spot. It turned out to be one of my favorite night portraits OF ALL TIME.
We also made lemonade out of the lemons this crazy Texas weather was giving us
is it weird that I just want it to rain every night I have a wedding? Is it too much to ask for a sunny ceremony and rainy reception? 😂2018 was also the year for adventurous couples! This was probably the most dangerous photo I took all year, but I LOVE how it turned out! If you come over to my house and see Carrie and Rod’s photo hanging above my mantel, don’t judge me ;)
We also set this one up the same night! When you get married at a stunning venue like La Cantera Resort, it’s a must! Can you guess what this one is lit with??This photo was technically taken in 2019, but I don’t want to wait another year to share it 😍
Emily and Sam snuck away from the party to climb three flights of stairs for this shotI could go on all day trying to choose my favorite night portrait, but it is impossible! Each one means so much to me and the fact that my couples trust me fully makes me so grateful. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have!
you’ll never guess what this is lit with! Related: The Flash Accessory I Can’t Live Without
