Devin and Trevor were supposed to take their engagement photos in March, but ‘Rona had other plans for us. We rescheduled for May and the forecast was looking BRUTAL! The day of their session we actually cancelled it once or twice (๐) because the weather was looking terrible. But then it wasn’t. But then it was. HA!
We ended up just GOING FOR IT because the 10 day forecast didn’t look any better (funny looking back on it now, because it was sunshine and rainbows for most of those days ๐). All was well and sunny until I took the exit for The Pearl and noticed a few drops on my windshield. I thought “nah, it’s fine. It will go around us.” Then I parked at Hotel Emma and was trapped in my car by the rain (it told ME lol). It eventually stopped raining long enough for us to get to a good location where we could start taking photos finally, and out of nowhere it started raining AGAIN with FULL SUN. It was the most beautiful thing. I scrambled to get my clear umbrellas and was able to capture a few photos before the clouds covered the sun and we had ugly rain again ๐
After those few photos I think we could have just called it a day and been totally happy (I mean I want to hang these on MY wall HAHA) but we persevered and made some more magic!ย It rained on and off throughout our entire session, but these two weren’t phased. They were just happy to be engaged and in love and looking cute.
I am so excited for their wedding in December, and can’t wait to celebrate with them!
When it initially started sprinkling and I thought to myself “eh, it will pass”–NOPE.
It’s funny how God works in our lives. While it looks like COVID19 and rain are ruining our plans, we’re actually just making really good lemonade with those lemons we just got handed–And adding some tequila.
and then it rained again!
xoxo, Allison
