A Beautiful Spring Engagement Session with Views for Miles in the Texas Hill Country | Texas Wedding Photographer

I met Rachel and Cory in person at their engagement session in the Hill Country, and they seemed extremely familiar to me. I thought maybe we went to school together at some point—nope. Maybe we have the same friends—nope. Maybe I just know people who look like them—nope. It was driving me crazy how I knew I had seen them before, but couldn’t put my finger on it. And they said the same thing about me!

We were riding in the Polaris on their family ranch (AMAZING, by the way), and Rachel was talking about how their whole family lives so close to each other. She said “in fact, Cory’s sister got married at their parents house in Comanche Trace” and that immediately triggered my memory! I said “OH MY GOSH! Is her name Erin?!” And they said “YES!”

As it turns out, I photographed his sister’s intimate wedding almost three years ago and I took a few portraits of them, too! Rachel was pregnant with Oliver at the time and was so stunning and glowing! She said that was her favorite maternity photo, and was so grateful it was captured *cue the happy tears*.

They brought Oliver with them to their engagement session (and Cory’s brother graciously agreed to babysit him after he was done cooperating haha!) and we did a few family photos with the three of them in Nanny’s garden. I’ve never seen such beautiful blue irises, ever! And their outfits coordinated perfectly.

We had THE BEST time wandering around the property and stopping wherever caught our eyes. There were so many hidden gems around the property (check out those purple verbena 😍), and we caught the perfect golden light on top of the mountain.

When I got home, I was telling Jason all about it, and I honestly couldn’t shut up about how much I loved them HAHA! And how much we had in common!

“She’s a plant lady, too!”

“And they have the cutest kid ever”

“And we could be best friends!”

I swear I’m the luckiest photographer ever, because I get the best couples, ever!
